Nathan Roseman

“I first started acting with the Masterton Theatre Company in 2010 and never looked back. I have acted in over 20 different stage shows, including musicals, since then.  I focused on musicals for the first 8 years and then branched into stage shows when the chance to play Hugo Horton in the Vicar of Dibley showed up.  I won the “best male performance in a musical” trophy in 2020 playing Goran in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.   I enjoy acting and find myself at nearly all local auditions.  My work as a support worker keeps me local and I find myself bouncing around the three local theatre companies, playing whichever roles the director allows me to play.

“In 2018 I started the job as a support worker where I had many hours to kill at night time and chose to focus my time on becoming a playwright.  In 2021 I successfully completed the NZ Writers College script writing course, picked up my copy of Roger Halls Theatre Writing Guide (as somewhat of a bible) and settled into my journey.  I enjoy creating characters and finding inspiration from the ordinary.  It really is incredible how often a simple conversation has become the basis of something written.  I have many ideas in the works, as I have trouble writing one thing at a time.  I seriously have that much time to kill.”
